I went to the Half Moon Inn for my birthday about a year ago. We stopped in the accomadation at the back of the pub which was very nice indeed.

The real attraction was the pub - although I did not know it before I arrived!

The pub is traditional in style, which suits it's reputation for real ale, the food is very good, large portion pub grub - the image of one such meal is still my background on my phone :).

What I really owe to this pub is my interest in real ale, because before then I had only wandered as far as a stagnant mild - which really put me off.

The location was convinient enough for Longleat, which was our reason for stopping, but the pub ended up stealing the show.
